Over 50 McLaren owners from Texas joined the recent celebration of the opening of the new corporate headquarters for McLaren, The Americas, in Coppell, Texas. The new 31,000 square foot facility was officially opened by McLaren, The Americas President Nicolas Brown, and the Mayor of Coppell, TX, Wes Mays.
The expansion of the McLaren Automotive brand and a growth in sales over the past several years required the company to move its American headquarters from its 4,500 square foot downtown New York City location to a larger facility in a high-tech industrial park in Texas.
There are numerous benefits to having a larger facility, including being able integrate sales and technical training for McLaren employees, as well as having the ability to maintain, service, and store company owned vehicles, all in one location. Also, being centrally located in the United States, McLaren can complete technical and customer service requests more quickly.
When it comes to design, McLaren made sure the new headquarters looked the part as well, with a high-tech look that was inspired by the ‘inner workings of an engineering technical center or racing workshop.’
McLaren customers will also be able to visit the new facility to experience new vehicle reveals, or individualize their next McLaren supercar in consultation with designers and engineers from the brand’s UK headquarters.
